LMU Womens Water Polo Tournament Team to the NCAA
For the seventh time in nine years, Loyola Marymount University women's water polo team in the NCAA tournament championship. Lions win a place in the tournament by winning the Western Water Polo Association title 26th April 2009, at the University of Santa Clara.
"It's good to get the title of the conference LMU," said coach John Loughran. "We are usually happy to return to the NCAA championship. When we play at this level, we feel we do very well in the tournament."

HEAD COACH Larry Sanders:
Larry Sanders began the sixth season as head coach at UC San Diego women's water polo team. He first joined the UCSD Workers in 1993, as assistant coach youth water polo team and the director of recruitment efforts. In five seasons at the top of a very successful UCSD girls water polo team, Sanders led the Triton was a record year 96-74, with 200zero WWPA championships and three second place.
